New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has elected Sheryl Jones, President of Sheryl Jones, Inc. in New York, NY, as a new Jewelers of America Board Director. Jones was elected on September 23, 2024, at Jewelers of America’s Annual Membership meeting.

Nomination Period Opens for Jewelers of America’s 2025 GEM Awards
New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, announces the opening of the nomination period for the 23rd annual GEM Awards that will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York. The GEM Awards Committee is now accepting submissions in the categories of Jewelry Design, Media Excellence and Retail Excellence.

JA Brings Industry Stakeholders to Washington, D.C.
New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, invited key industry stakeholders to Washington, D.C. to meet with top lawmakers and share concerns about implementation plans for import restrictions of Russian diamonds into the United States. JA President & CEO David J. Bonaparte represented the organization and led the group consisting of Jon Bridge, Chair/Counsel Emeritus of Ben Bridge Jeweler; Dave Meleski, President & CEO of Richline Group; Matthew Swibel, VP, Sustainability and Social Impact of Signet Jewelers; and Ronnie VanderLinden, Immediate Past President of Diamond Manufacturers Importers Association of America and President of International Diamond Manufacturers Association.
Jewelers of America Accepting Entries for 2024 CASE Awards
New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, is accepting entries for CASE Awards, its national jewelry design competition. The CASE Awards honor JA Members who exhibit creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design. The CASE Awards competition is open to all employees of JA Member retailers and suppliers. Employees of JA Member companies can enter through July 17, 2024.
