New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, is proud to announce the promotion of Amanda Gizzi to Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs.
With over 20 years of industry experience, Gizzi brings a deep passion and unwavering commitment to advancing the jewelry profession. She began her career in 2001 at the Jewelry Information Center — which merged with Jewelers of America in 2009 — and has since grown into a nationally recognized spokesperson and jewelry expert. In her expanded role, Gizzi will oversee the organization’s external affairs, including strategic communications, public relations, government affairs, advocacy, industry partnerships, events, and education.
“Amanda has been a dedicated and dynamic voice for the jewelry industry for more than two decades,” said David J. Bonaparte, President & CEO of Jewelers of America. “Her leadership, media expertise, and deep industry relationships have elevated our public profile and engagement efforts. We are thrilled to recognize her contributions with this expanded role.”
Gizzi most recently served as Director of Public Relations & Events at Jewelers of America where she became a nationally recognized jewelry expert and industry spokesperson. Her comprehensive media and PR background has made her a trusted resource for top-tier journalists, editors, and producers. She is a regular contributor to television, radio, and podcasts, where she highlights jewelry trends and educates consumers on fine jewelry and watches.
She also manages all of Jewelers of America’s special events, most notably the GEM Awards, which she has helped grow into the premier awards gala for the fine jewelry industry. In addition, Gizzi authors the bi-weekly column “Amanda’s Style File” for National Jeweler and donates time to Jewelers for Children.
Gizzi holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from St. John’s University, where she graduated cum laude. A former captain of the university’s Division One volleyball team, she was named a Big East Academic All-American and selected to The President’s Society. Her industry leadership includes serving as Past President of the Women’s Jewelry Association’s Metropolitan Chapter, being a recipient of the WJA Awards for Excellence, and maintaining membership in the New York Jewelers Association.
She lives on Long Island with her husband, Matthew, and their two children.
