JA in the News

New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, is now accepting entries for the 2025 CASE Awards, its national jewelry design competition. The CASE Awards honor JA Members who exhibit Creativity, Artistry, Style and Excellence in jewelry design. The competition is open to all employees of JA Member retailers and suppliers, with entries accepted from May 12 through June 16, 2025.

“The CASE Awards celebrate the exceptional creativity and craftsmanship of our members by giving them the opportunity to submit original designs for national recognition,” says Amanda Gizzi, Director of PR & Events at Jewelers of America. “This competition shines a spotlight on the talent within our industry, encourages innovation, and showcases stunning jewelry that can be discovered at JA Member companies.”

This year’s competition includes several exciting updates. The pricing categories have been expanded and restructured to better reflect the breadth of design and value. The updated categories, divided by Retail Member and Supplier Member subset include: Jewelry up to $5,000; $5,001 to $10,000; $10,001 to $20,000; and $20,001 to $75,000 in retail value. In addition, designers may now submit more than one entry per category.

All entries will go through a two-part judging process beginning with a virtual pre-judging round. Finalists will then be invited to submit physical pieces for the final evaluation. Entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts who will assess overall design, marketability, wearability, and quality of manufacture. Winners will be selected in each of the pricing categories, and two pieces will receive the honor of “Best in Show” — one from a retailer and one from a supplier.

CASE Awards winners will receive a customized trophy, national trade and consumer media exposure, and benefit from additional promotional opportunities including a social media and digital marketing campaign highlighting all entries. The CASE Awards – sponsored by Synchrony and Jewelers Mutual Group – is open exclusively to employees of JA Member companies.
