Today, we spotlight Jen Bellefleur, co-owner of New Gild Jewelers in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Let’s get to know Jen a little better!
I am Jen Bellefleur. I am Jewelers of America. #IamJA #WeAreJA
New Gild Jewelers was founded in: 2017
I am a proud JA Member because being a member of JA means I have arrived! Jewelry is a second act for me, so the fellowship of other jewelers feels like a gift.
My favorite part of my career is: I get to work with people at the most beautiful and sacred moments of their lives--and be there. Energetically, I'm able to impact so many people through this work.
My favorite work trip was: Traveling to Carlsbad to do the diamond course was by far the coolest thing I've ever done. Who knew there was a whole world inside every diamond?! The climate was to-die for, and the knowledge remains priceless.
Accreditations and certifications I hold: GIA Certified Diamonds and Pearls
My favorite personal piece of jewelry or timepiece: My favorite thing is a one-of-a-kind ring made by a Russian jeweler I know, with a rose cut champagne diamond and a circle of hot pink sapphires. I lusted after it for over a year, and finally bought it for myself. Every time I look down at it, it continues to bring me joy.
One word that describes me is: Integrity
Morning person or night owl? Morning person!
My guilty pleasure: I listen to Rick Springfield all the time on my Spotify--he's my playlist all day long!
My #1 bucket list vacation destination: I want to travel to French Polynesia to see Tahitian Pearl Farming first hand, and to swim in that magnificent turquoise water!
Diamonds or gemstones? Diamonds all day.
My most used emoji is

The most embarrassing fashion trend I used to rock: I.....admit I wore plaid skirts and Doc Martens. I was younger and cuter then!
If I have to sing karaoke, I would pick: Jessie's Girl. I have a terrible singing voice, so I may as well have fun.
