Qualifications:
Shelly Devine is a GIA Graduate Gemologist, a Certified Master Appraiser (NAJA), and a Candidate Member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). She is also a Registered Master Valuer and an active member of Jewelers of America and the GIA Alumni Collective. Her professional certifications reflect her commitment to accurate, ethical, and up-to-date appraisal standards—backed by continuing education and real-world experience.

Professional Background:
Shelly began her career in Seattle, Washington, where she completed a five-year apprenticeship under experienced appraisers. She later moved to California and spent ten years managing a high-end jewelry store in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where she worked closely with goldsmiths, designers, and clients. Those years gave her hands-on experience with custom design, stone setting, fabrication, and the art of fine jewelry.

After more than two decades in the trade, Shelly opened Devine & Co. to offer clients a more personal experience—one that blends technical expertise with heartfelt service. Her background makes her uniquely suited to handle everything from legacy estate pieces to modern bridal design.
