NEW YORK – The Plumb Club is pleased to present a retail-learning opportunity provided by Platinum Guild International, USA (PGI).

The virtual event will be held in the Jewelers Resource Center Auditorium on Tuesday, September 30th at 1pm (EDT) and is free and open to the entire jewelry industry using the registration link at the bottom of this release.

Labor Day may mark the close of summer, but for the fashion world and jewelry retailers, it signals the most dynamic and profitable season of the year. For jewelry retailers, it also heralds the beginning of “engagement season” in which, according to National Diamond Syndicate, Inc., 40% of US marriage proposals happen. Join Kevin Reilly, senior vice president of PGI for this essential learning opportunity entitled, “Fall Fashion Trends: A Fresh Approach to Profitable Merchandising”. Reilly will moderate a panel of three of the industry’s most influential style leaders to help unpack the hottest ready-to-wear fashion and wedding trends, and reveal practical ways jewelry retailers can leverage these trends, using current inventory and a dash of creativity to captivate customers and drive holiday sales. The panel will consist of:

Amanda Gizzi: Senior vice president, corporate affairs for Jewelers of America, Gizzi is a unique resource for trend forecasting, industry information, statistics and shopping tips. As a nationally recognized industry spokesperson, Gizzi appears regularly on television morning shows, is quoted in magazines, and is an authority on fine jewelry and watch trends.

Severine Ferrari: Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Engagement 101 magazine since she launched it in 2006, the publication is devoted to jewelry and proposal planning, Ferrari has demonstrated her ability to predict trends. In 2018, she introduced the groundbreaking “Propose Too” initiative, empowering women to take the lead in proposing, a category that blossomed into burgeoning sales for retailer jewelers.

Hillary Magner: Owner and curator of Squash Blossom Fine Jewels, a retailer in Vail CO., Magner has been a buyer and store operations manager for Francesca’s Collections before moving on to hone her retail skills at Neiman Marcus. In 2019, she and her husband took over Squash Blossom where she creates meaningful connection with clients, offering them a personalized and welcoming experience.
