Mefford Jewelers

Since 1911, a member of the Mefford family has worked in a downtown Florence Alabama jewelry store. Russell Mefford’s grandparents; O.T. (Pete) & Julia Mefford Sr. opened the first store on Seminary Street in 1945. The business prospered and relocated to 111 East Tennessee Street where it remained until 1980. In that same year, Russell’s father; O. T. Mefford Jr. moved the flagship location to 102 North Court Street; our current home. Russell’s family is committed to continuing the tradition of fine jewelry, gift items, and a good conversation started by Pete and Julia 75 years ago.
