Jewelers of America is actively seeking the best and brightest rising talents in jewelry retail. Jewelers of America’s 20 Under 40 list will shine a spotlight on jewelers who exemplify leadership skills and a commitment to elevating jewelry retail for tomorrow’s jewelry consumers.

Criteria

  • Nominee must be under the age of 40 as of January 21, 2022
  • Nominee must be a full-time employee in a jewelry retail store or fine jewelry department that is an active member of Jewelers of America
  • Nominee must be employed by a company that is an active member of Jewelers of America
  • The company may have a brick-and-mortar presence or serve its community via e-commerce.
  • Nominee may be a store owner, bench jeweler, manager, sales executive or serve the jewelry store full-time in marketing, accounting, or other areas of operations
  • Nominee must have at least three years of experience within the jewelry industry

Judges will review the candidates using the following:

  • Potential to improve a jewelry store’s success
  • Potential to lead in the jewelry industry
  • Potential to improve the community through outreach and/or DEI initiatives
  • Successful in their chosen field
  • Commitment to the Jewelers of America Code of Professional Practices and professional ethics
  • Demonstrates leadership characteristics

Nominations are accepted November 10, 2021 – January 21, 2022.
 Yes. There is no disadvantage to self-nomination.
Yes, you can nominate as many people as you like.
Yes. Applications must be submitted for each employee. 
Nominations can’t be edited. Please look over the entire nomination form prior to submitting it.
 Recipients will be notified in early February 2022. All nominees will be required to formally accept the nomination and confirm the nomination details.
The recipients will receive a certificate, national recognition, features on Jewelers of America’s social media and website, a customizable press release, exposure in National Jeweler, and a free Jewelers of America Certification Course. Most importantly, they will win bragging rights!
No, there are no costs associated with nominating someone.
