Hardness (Age-Hardened) (HV)
• Two-step age hardness: Step 1. 1382°F (750°C), hold 15 minutes, water quench.
Step 2. 572°F (300°C), hold 30–60 minutes, air cool. Hardness about HV 136.
• Single-step age hardness: 1382°F (750°C), 30 minutes, air cool. Hardness about HV 104.
Available Forms
Casting grain, sheet, wire, tubing
Fusing Possible
Yes
Welding Possible
Yes
Quenching Guidelines
The alloy can be quenched after annealing, resulting in a slightly softer material. Wait for the color to turn.
