As of February 6, 2025, the United States and India released a joint statement confirming an interim agreement that would lower the reciprocal tariff on India to 18 percent and, subject to the conclusion of the agreement, would remove the reciprocal tariff on goods – including diamonds, gemstones and natural pearls – included in the Annex III list announced in September 2025.
