Using AI to Augment the Design Process
with Greg Stopka
Airdate: February 2025
Greg Stopka is a second-generation jeweler and founder of JewelSmiths, in Pleasant Hill, California. Design services—specifically redesign jobs—are the core of Stopka’s business. Using a highly personal, one-on-one approach, Stopka always engages his clients in the design process and has long been a proponent of using technology to enhance his sales and presentation efforts. Recently, intrigued by the emergence of generative AI, Stopka began exploring ways it could be used to augment the creative process. What he discovered is a powerful new tool for inspiring and refining his visions.
In this episode, Stopka shares his experiences with AI, how it has impacted his business and creativity, and what the rapidly-evolving technology might mean for the future of jewelry design.
