• As-cast before cold working: 165 HV

• Torch annealed before cold working: 160 HV

Hardness (Age-Hardened) (HV)

• Two-step age hardness: 125 HV

• Single-step age hardness: N/A

Available Forms

Casting grain, sheet, round shaped and patterned wire, ring blanks, circles

Fusing Possible

Yes

Welding Possible

Alloy can be laser welded; tack welding is possible but results are mixed.

Quenching Guidelines

For maximum ductility, quench from black heat (after it cools from a red to orange color).

Special Tips for Working with Alloy

To increase tarnish resistance, a low-temperature heat treatment, which generates a transparent oxide on the surface, is recommended. Torch the silver until it takes on a white look.
