Jewelers of America provided fine jewelry from JA Members for runway looks at the Isabelle Armstrong Fall 2017 bridal fashion show. The event was held in conjunction with New York Bridal Fashion Week on Friday, October 7, 2016 in New York, NY. Models showed off the newest bridal designs paired with an array of fine jewelry. Jewelry trends on the runway included diamond chandelier earrings, feminine pearls, and blue-hued gemstones for that “something blue” look. The fashion show featured fine jewelry from Belle Etoile, Carelle, Eli Frei, Fern Freeman Jewelry, Gumuchian, Imperial, Leo Ingwer, Mastoloni and Meghna Jewels. Check out the photos from the runway! NYPost.com highlighted the rising popularity of amethyst both on and off the red carpet. Amanda Gizzi, spokesperson for Jewelers of America, discussed the growing attraction to the royally purple gemstone. “It’s really becoming seen as a fashion-forward option,” says Amanda Gizzi of trade organization Jewelers of America, which has said many of its members have mentioned spikes in amethyst sales. “Especially among millennials who are just starting to collect jewelry and maybe can’t afford diamonds and emeralds.” View the full article here.

Gizzi identified the ring as featuring an Asscher-cut diamond. "It became increasingly popular in the 1920s and is surging in popularity today," Gizzi says. Jewelers of America produced the Jewelers of America Fashion Show at American Gem Society (AGS) Conclave on Wednesday, April 13, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. Retailers were treated to a spectacular show that featured more than $18 million worth of stunning diamond, gemstone and precious metal jewelry, with apparel from a local Georgetown consignment boutique, Ella-Rue. A Showcase Reception that followed the Fashion Show gave jewelry retailers an up-close look at the details and fine craftsmanship of the pieces.
