The new Federal Trade Commission Jewelry Guides has brought changes to how the US jewelry supply chain should advertise their products. Perhaps the most drastic change was eliminating the 10K floor for gold and the 900 PPT floor for silver.

In this webinar, you will get a review of the significant changes to the Guides and how the JVC is seeing the trade adapt in the marketplace. Sara Yood from JVC will use real-life examples of advertising that have been running since the Guides were released to show what the FTC finds as deceptive conduct and how to avoid compliance issues.

With Sara Yood, Esq., Senior Counsel of Jewelers Vigilance Committee

Retailers know offering a seamless online/offline experience is more important than ever. But they may not realize a tool they already have – their online marketplace – can bridge the gap in exciting and engaging ways. Join VDB’s VP of Business Development, Liz Stamm, who will share how to use an online marketplace app as a selling tool while working remotely or in-person. She will demonstrate how to use product searches as a customer collaboration tool, set markup modes to show the desirable marked-up prices, build collections and wish lists and place memo, hold and buy orders. By using a marketplace app, retailers can expand their digital reach instantly, dramatically change consumer perception of how many options are available to them, and – once we reopen — make coming into the store a unique opportunity.
