Once a year, Jewelers of America brings together a delegation of JA Members who support its Political Action Committee, JAPAC, for meetings and socializing on Capitol Hill. It’s the only jewelry trade association that organizes annual visits to Washington, D.C. to voice jewelers’ concerns and interests directly with influential legislators. On June 20-21, the seventh annual visit was action packed, here’s a recap and photos of the meetings, power lunches and dinners.

For the sixth consecutive year, Jewelers of America led a delegation of JA members who support its Political Action Committee, JAPAC, to Washington, D.C., for meetings with legislators on June 14-15, 2016. The group of nearly 20 executives from JA and JA-Member jewelry stores advocated for issues that are top of mind to jewelers and learned how the 2016 Congressional and Presidential elections could bring about sweeping changes to Capitol Hill. On Tuesday, April 12, 2016, Jewelers of America held a special dinner for members celebrating our advocacy work and raising funds for the Jewelers of America Political Action Committee. Titled “Wine, Whiskey & Washington," guests were treated to sweeping views of Washington D.C. at Top of the Town in Arlington, VA. Special guest Chris Cillizza enthralled guests with a dynamic presentation on this year's historic presidential election.
