SUPPORT JAPAC

Jewelers of America’s Political Action Committee, JAPAC, is the only PAC that supports the fine retail jewelry industry in Washington, D.C. Through JAPAC, individual JA members can join with other jewelry businesses in contributing to candidates for office at the federal level, who understand the interests of the jewelry industry.

Stand With Us
As an association, Jewelers of America is not permitted by law to make direct contributions to legislators. It created JAPAC as a way for its individual  members’ collective voices to be heard on Capitol Hill.

Influence Legislation
JAPAC dollars support legislators, who can work to introduce or support legislation that benefits our business community.

Your contribution to JAPAC can influence the outcome of legislation vitally important to your bottom line. Our legislative counsel uses the power of JAPAC to call attention to the interests of jewelry retailers and suppliers and make our issues known to sympathetic legislators.

• Sales Tax Fairness and Simplification Act
• Stopping proposed luxury taxes
• Permanent reduction in the estate tax

Together We Make a Difference
Many individual jewelers have contributed privately to past electoral campaigns. However, the true influence of the retail jewelry industry cannot be felt unless jewelers come together publicly in a unified effort by directing their contributions through JAPAC, instead of individual, private involvement.
