Jewelers of America ’s Political Action Committee (JAPAC) is our Government Affairs arm. Our representative in Washington , DC monitors all legislation affecting the industry and retail community. As a not for profit, 501(c)(6) trade association, JA cannot make direct contributions to elected official campaigns, yet our Political Action Committee, funded by the contributions of our members, can. JAPAC accepts contributions from individuals only. Corporate donations are not allowed. Your support is vital to the success of our legislative efforts. Participate in JAPAC to propel the achievement of our industry’s goals.

There are very explicit rules about how JAPAC can solicit members for donations, including securing permission from the member to solicit contributions. We welcome your support of JAPAC. JAPAC is registered with the Federal Election Commission in Washington , DC . Our registration number is C00333666. FEC regulations require that all PACs report contributions received and made on a quarterly basis. The reports for JAPAC are on file with the FEC.
