Jewelers For Children

Jewelers For Children, previously known as the Jewelers Charity Fund for Children, is a non-profit organization created by the jewelry industry, raising funds for four children's charities: The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Association.

Participation in JFC helps children from your local community and benefits the industry, showing consumers how much you care about humanitarian causes. Participating jewelers may place a free in-store collection canister in a prominent location in their store for employee and consumer contribution.

JFC also hosts "Facets of Hope" each June, a gala fund-raising dinner in Las Vegas. Tickets to this charity event are $500 per person, with all donations received before the gala deducted from the ticket price. For more information, visit www.jewelersforchildren.org.


Jewelry Information Center

Jewelry Information Center (JIC) was formed in 1946, as a non-profit membership organization with the mission to stimulate consumer desire for fine jewelry products through creative and timely promotions. JA and JIC operate as strategic partners and share office space in New York, collaborating on daily operations and various projects. JA provides financial and logistical support for JIC activities, benefiting JA members as well as the industry as a whole.

JIC reaches out to consumer media including newspapers, magazines, television and radio to positively impact customer perception and spending. . In addition to holiday-related PR during peak jewelry-buying seasons, JIC keeps fine jewelry and watches consistently visible all year. JIC efforts have substantially increased placement of fine jewelry and watch consumer media stories in recent years.

JIC staff members often appear on TV and radio, both locally and nationally, informing consumers or promoting individual trends and products. Its members gain access to Link, JIC's newsletter publication with marketing tips and industry news, PR how-to guides, customizable press releases, and the opportunity for prominent placement in news stories, articles and video news releases.
