CODE OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES

Jewelers of America and its members maintain the trust of consumers through their high social, environmental and ethical business practices, detailed in JA’s Code of Professional Practices.

RESPONSIBLE GOLD

RESPONSIBLE JEWELLERY COUNCIL

Jewelers of America developed the Code of Professional Practices to be consistent with the principles of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), which Jewelers of America cofounded in 2005. RJC created a third-party monitoring system for the diamond and gold supply chain. JA President & CEO Matthew Runci serves as RJC’s Chairman.

PROMOtinG PROFESsionaLISM

Jewelers of America created Professional Certification programs to validate the professional skills of retail jewelry sales associates, managers and bench jewelers.
